English Grammar में Conjunction (संयोजन) एक बहुत ही important topic है। Conjunction वे words होते हैं जो दो शब्दों, दो वाक्यों, दो phrases या दो ideas को आपस में जोड़ते हैं। Simple words में कहें तो conjunction वाक्य को smooth बनाता है और sentence को बेहतर तरीके से connect करता है। जैसे हम हिंदी में “और, लेकिन, क्योंकि, या” जैसे शब्दों का उपयोग करते हैं, वैसे ही English में “and, but, because, or” आदि को conjunction कहते हैं।

ये दो independent sentences या words को जोड़ते हैं।
सबसे famous rule है FANBOYS:
- F – For (क्योंकि)
- A – And (और)
- N – Nor (न तो)
- B – But (लेकिन)
- O – Or (या)
- Y – Yet (फिर भी)
- S – So (इसलिए)
उदाहरण –
- She is tired, but she is working.
- He will come or he will call you.
2. Subordinating Conjunctions (निर्भर वाक्य जोड़ने वाले संयोजन)
ये दो clauses में एक को main clause और दूसरा dependent clause बनाते हैं।
Common words – because, although, when, if, until, before, after, while, since

- I did not go because I was sick.
- When he came, I was studying.
3. Correlative Conjunctions (जोड़े में आने वाले संयोजन)
ये pair में काम करते हैं।
Common pairs –
- Either – or (या – या)
- Neither – nor (न – न)
- Both – and (दोनों – और)
- Not only – but also (सिर्फ नहीं – बल्कि)
Examples –
- Both Rahul and Rohit are players.
- Either come now or call me later.
Conjunction को कैसे पहचानें? (How to Identify Conjunction)
Conjunction पहचानना आसान है:
- अगर two ideas जोड़े गए हों
- अगर sentence smooth लगे
- अगर sentence में “and, but, or, because” जैसे शब्द हों
- अगर दो sentences combine हुए हों
